As mentioned in a previous post, T and I visited Kenrokuen numerous times over the year that we lived near Kanazawa in Ishikawa Prefecture. This was the second time we went, accompanied by some family visiting from home! It was interesting walking through the garden a second time and seeing the same sights in new light. After we finished touring the garden, we stopped by a shop on the grounds for some ice cream and dango, a traditional Japanese mochi sweet made from glutinous rice and served on a skewer. (It’s one of my all time favourites!)
