For a long time, T and I had dreamt of travelling the world together. It wasn’t until we looked into the Japan Exchange Teaching Programme (JET Programme) that we realized that living abroad was a real possibility. We decided hey, we don’t have kids or a mortgage to worry about, and we’re still young, so why not take the opportunity to embark on a big adventure while we can? And we did exactly that! In August 2018, T and I packed as much of our lives as we could into some very heavy suitcases, and flew to our new home in Japan. Below are photos from the first few days that we spent in Tokyo for orientation and as we flew out to our assigned city in Ishikawa Prefecture!
