This logo was created for a small business owner who specialized in handmade pet accessories. Since her cat, Momiji - which is the Japanese word for red maple leaves in the Fall, is the adorable mascot for her brand, I was given the exciting and challenging task of incorporating Momiji and all his fluffiness into the logo.
My goal was to bring Momiji's name and personality to life along with the characteristics of Fall that are so well loved in Japan.
Momiji's playful nature served as a great jumping off point in brainstorming ideas for the final logo. The momiji leaf became a perfect motif to sell the idea of play and also serves as an important visual element to balance the logo.
