Logo and website created for a startup HR company that the owner wanted to set apart from other companies in the same space. The vision was to create a logo and website that looked and felt professional, but with a touch of modern class. The owner tossed in the optional request to have his Filipino and Vancouver-based roots featured in the logo, and from then I knew I'd have a couple great first drafts to put in front of him.

Alternate drafts. These drafts were created to get a feel for how 'corporate' the company owner wanted the logo to be. While presenting the drafts, he expressed that while he liked the professional look of the logos, he wanted to add more personality and charm.

The final logo. Using the sun and stripes to represent the Phillipines, and the mountain range to symbolize British Columbia, I took a different approach in form and oriented the logo vertically as opposed to the previous two horizontal logo drafts.

Keeping the website in mind, I intentionally chose a font for the logo that could be used across all future branding. Rubik was a perfect fit for our needs with the right balance of rigidity and softness across different font weights.

The final piece of the logo design was to visualize the logo with the use of mockups.

Website. Leveraging the colour palette used for the logo, I built this WordPress website with dark mode and classy modern styling in mind. Across the visuals and copy, I aimed to keep the information simple but effective - a mantra by which the company owner was intentional on sticking close to.
