One of our original goals while living in Japan was to travel around southeast Asia as much as we possibly could. Seeing as work was becoming stressful for me, and that the first semester was coming to a close, we decided it was the perfect time to go on our first international adventure while living abroad. We booked our hotel, bought our plane tickets, and flew out to hot, sunny Bangkok, Thailand. Our hotel was located a 5 minute walk from the famous Khao San Road, and over the course of 3 days, we visited temples, sauntered through the markets around Rambuttri and Khao San, went shopping at the ridiculously big MBK shopping centre, and ate as much street food as we could. (Seriously, no matter how much food we had just eaten, I was determined to get a plate of pad thai from my favourite stand every single day!) We really loved the laid back air about Bangkok, and there was a lot to capture through my lens. I saw so many people and so many interesting faces that must’ve had amazing stories to tell.
